On Sunday 13th October, a last minute change in fixtures saw the women's Falcons team all dressed up and no place to go. Luckily, our friends at Millbrook RFC were in a similar position, so a last minute friendly was arranged for both sides to get a long awaited runout.

The weather conditions perfect for a match, the Falcons team combined of both 1XV and 2XV players played a fantastic, competitive game against a driven Millbrook side.

The score line kept creeping up on both sides and it was fantastic to see such support from the balcony after a long draught for the Falcons to get their boots on and gumshields in.

The opposition made some hard hitting runs, great individual plays and some really competitive set pieces. The Falcons countered by putting into practise all the hard work from training to gain the upper hand and continued to add to the scoreboard. A great opportunity for both teams to build upon their foundations for future league fixtures. The return friendly fixture already in discussion as it was a game enjoyed by all who played! The game concluded with a win for the Falcons 62-31.
